Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Thoughtree (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and the developer (Nijizo, the "Developer").

License Grant

Subject to these Terms, the Developer grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes.

This license is provided in accordance with the terms of the distribution platform from which the App was obtained (the Apple App Store), including its standard end-user license terms.

Your Maps & Content

The maps, notes, and other content you create or import in Thoughtree (including .itmz files you open and .ttree files you save) belong to you. The Developer does not claim any ownership over your content and does not access it — it is stored only on your device and, if you enable it, in your own iCloud Drive.

You are responsible for keeping your own backups of files that matter to you.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any damages — including loss of data — arising from the use or inability to use the App.

Apple — Required Clauses

These Terms are between you and the Developer (Nijizo), not between you and Apple. Apple bears no responsibility for the App or these Terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.

Maintenance and SupportThe Developer, not Apple, is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support services for the App. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the App.

WarrantyIn the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the App (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.

Product ClaimsThe Developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App or your possession and/or use of it, including: (i) product liability claims; (ii) any claim that the App fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement; and (iii) claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.

Legal ComplianceYou represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
